3. Pidgeot ex 225/197 Special Illustration Rare £8 - £20
Aside from Charizard, Obsidian Flames does have some other excellent looking cards inside! The Pidgeot ex special illustration rare comes in to take third place on our list, it's bright blue and very flat design giving it great contrast to our previous two cards. Its artwork set is part of a series of cards designed by artist Jerky who also has designed the rest of the Pidgeot evolutions Pidgeotto and Pidgey. How shocking! It really wouldn't be a proper Charizard themed set without a few Charizards making our list for the most expensive cards in Obsidian Flames! Here we have 215/197 Charizard ex full art card. This card essentially is the same as the gold card we saw earlier just without that 'Hyper Rare' ranking. Obsidian Flames Charizard artworks make for such a good chase which is why we see the prices of these so low currently! With everyone opening up

5. Pidgeot ex 164/197 Double Rare £5 - £15
Pidgeot ex makes a second appearance on our list as surprisingly one of the most expensive cards from
Obsidian Flames. This card may only be a regular ex however It's high use in the Pokémon Trading Card game make this card very popular amongst players and therefore garners a higher price.
6. Cleffa 202/197 Illustration Rare £5 - £15
The number 6 spot is currently held by an illustration Rare Cleffa. It's clear to see why this super simple yet stunning illustration rare from Obsidian Flames is in the top ten. For those feeling nostalgic, Cleffa was introduced with the Generation two of Pokémon as the pre-evolution of Clefairy and so you can understand why this card is well sort after by players and collectors.

Okay so this is our absolute favourite of the lot and we agree that this should definitely be higher up on our list! 9. Charizard ex 125/197 Double Rare £5 - £15
Rounding off our list of actual Pokémon inside Obsidian Flames is yet again another fantastic Charizard card! As Charizard is one of the main if not the only main chase in Obsidian flames, there isn't too much competition from other cards within this set which means more common cards like the double rare Charizard ex can move up in price!
10. Basic Fire Energy 230/197 Hyper Rare £3 - £10
And to send out our list in a blaze of fire is nothing more fitting than a hyper rare fire type energy. If you are trying to fill out your deck with expensive cards, this is one way to make it look expensive without breaking the bank! Gold cards are quite cool and a basic fire energy is extremely fitting for a Charizard themed Pokemon expansion like

Obsidian Flames provides us with a plethora Pokémon with a great mix of new and old! Long time fans will appreciate the older Pokémon such as Pidgeot, Ninetales and of course Charizard, whilst new mechanics and cards freshen up the meta in the TCG. Scarlet and violets third expansion is certainly a great set to open, however with it being an extremely popular set, there is such an abundance of these cards available which has unfortunately driven the price of these stunning cards down to lower than were we think they should be! However, this does leave many opportunities for buyers to pick up a few deals on those higher end cards like the Charizard ex special illustration rares. For collectors and players, go ahead and find some bargains, for investors, we think this set has a while to go yet before it becomes a bit more lucrative...
